Encryption technology: Information exchanged between your computer and our web server is secured through strong encryption that safeguards the data being transmitted over the internet. To access our Online Banking system, it’s recommended to use the latest internet browser available, which supports 128-bit encryption.
Note: Oaken Online Banking currently works best with Internet Explorer 9, and 10, and Firefox 9, but generally works well in most other browsers too.
Secure Login: You’ll need a username and password in order to log into Online Banking. When you first set up these login credentials, you’ll be asked to choose a secret pass-phrase. You’ll see this pass-phrase every time you access Online Banking, as it confirms that you’re logging into our website and not a fraudulent or fake site.
Password Protection: It’s always a good idea to create strong passwords to protect your information. A strong password has a minimum of 7 characters, including one character from at least three of the following: upper case letter, lower case letter, numeral (0 through 9) and/or special characters such as &, *, %, $, #. When you enter your password for the first time, we’ll tell you whether it’s considered weak, medium or strong.
Automatic Logout: You should always log out of Online Banking when you’re finished with it. But in case you forget, our system will automatically log you out after 15 minutes of inactivity. You can also make this time period shorter from your user preferences.
Protecting your Privacy: In order to protect your personal information, your login information is stored separately in a secure environment. And if you want to change your password, you’ll need to enter your previous password so that we can verify your identity.
Fraud Protection: To protect you against fraud, we always mask your full account number, so only the last nine digits of your account number are displayed.
Alerts for password or email changes: Any change to your password will automatically trigger an email to the original email address we have on file. This ensures you will be notified of any changes to your password. If you did not make a change to your password, please call us at 1-855-OAKEN-22 (625-3622) or send an email to fraud@oaken.com immediately.
